Tell us about yourself.
I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Denver, CO when I was young. I loved my time there and it was a great place to grow up. I went to university in Colorado as well and worked there for a few years before moving back to Hong Kong. It’s good to be here again!
How did you get into design?
I always loved cool designs and nicely printed stuff! I first got into graphic design in high school. Back then, it was just a course I took because I thought it would be easy, but really quickly, I realised that I had a strong affinity towards design and was really interested in graphics. That’s how I ended up in art school and eventually beginning my career in this field.
What are you passionate about?
Keeping the audience in mind when I am designing is really important to me. I love it when I create something that helps people solve their problems.
Tell us something cool you have, or are currently working on.
An interior design project where we built an actual model of a museum we created. It took us about three weeks, but it was a really cool experience.
Currently, I’m working on a project for Cathay Pacific Engineering and it has been an interesting experience. I have developed a brand new mindset of design in terms of creating a great and seamless user-experience for the audience. Everything we create is for the people, and success really depends on the experience when they are using it, so it’s very important.
You love travelling. Tell us about some of your adventures.
I love travelling and especially love eating delicious food from around the world. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to is the Maldives. This was the first time I went diving. It was so picturesque and serene – there was a hammock over the water that I made full use of! It was an amazing experience with nature.
